Percy is a super sweet big boy. He appears to be a boxer/dalmation mix but is larger than both breeds. He is about 50-60lbs. But what an amazing boy. Percy rides nicely in the car, loves the dog pool and swimming in the pond. Percy has a lot of playful energy and would do well in a home with another dog his size. Percy loves children and all other dogs, and sometimes ignores cats; however, on occasion, he will bark at them and chase them, but will not do anything when he catches them - he is playful, not aggressive. Percy loves throwing his Kong all over the house and chasing it. He will fetch a ball...we are still working on bringing it back! FOSTER UPDATE: He is fully house trained, and he takes naps in his crate (a very large crate!). Percy will follow you room to room in the house and he listens very well, but outside he is very distracted by his surroundings, so a fenced yard would be best for him. Percy knows sit and stay and down, and he is learning to leash walk. He does very well with the leash walking unless there are butterflies around! He now takes treats very gently. While the family is eating, Percy will sit quietly until everyone is finished. All of our dogs are in foster homes and we require a completed application prior to visiting our doggies. We want to know a little about you before sending you to meet our volunteers. All of our dogs are on our website. If they have "pending" after their name, they are pending adoption. Some of our dogs have "foster me" after their names. This means they need a foster home until they are adopted. Please fill out a foster application if you can help by fostering. We do adopt out of state but you must pick your new baby up from us.
