Owner Surrender Information:

This page offers information to anyone looking to surrender a pet that has been found or is simply in need of a new home. 

What we DO NOT take:

We cannot take a dog that is not good with other dogs and children.  Because all of our dogs are placed in foster homes we must insure the safety of that home.  Most of our fosters have other dogs and children.  Because of this, we must know that the animal will not harm anything within that home.  We will evaluate your dog before accepting it.

 We work closely with cat rescues to try and re-home cats and kittens as needed.  From time to time, we do adopt out cats and kittens but our main focus is on dogs.  We recommend contacting Coastal Cat Rescue for assistance with local cats.

To Surrender Your Pet:

For us to review a pet and accept it into our rescue we need the following information:
First, please visit our applications page and fill out an owner surrender form.  We will also need the form below printed and returned to us with your signature.  You may copy/paste this form, or contact us for a hard copy.  A current photo of the pet is required to be submitted as well.  You will also need to fax us their medical/vetting history. Once we have received all of the information, we will contact you to speak further about placing the dog into our rescue.

Animal Surrender and Relinquishment Agreement

I hereby certify that I am:

(a) The guardian (also known as the "owner") of the animal described below; or

(b) I am the authorized representative of the guardian or owner of the animal described below.

I also certify that I have unrestricted and complete authority to convey, surrender and relinquish (collectively, "relinquish") the animal to Paws of Tomorrow, Inc. and I hereby further certify that the animal has not bitten anyone in the last 10 days.

By relinquishing this animal to Paws of Tomorrow, Inc., I acknowledge and agree that Paws of Tomorrow shall have the sole and exclusive legal right to make all decisions, and to take all action, regarding that animal.  I hereby acknowledge my understanding of, and agreement with, the following terms and conditions that govern the relinquishment of this animal:

(a) If the animal is of suitable health and temperament, it will be placed in the Paws of Tomorrow adoption program.

I hereby release Paws of Tomorrow, Inc. and its employees, staff, agents and/or representatives from any claims or demands that I have, or may have, that:

(a) May be connected with the animal;

(b) May arise out of Paws of Tomorrow’s care of this animal.
